At Lakeland Behavioral Health System, we are proud to provide specialized programming for dependent children of active-duty military members and retirees. Our Integrity Program features comprehensive residential services for military dependents ages 9 to 20.

The professionals who serve in the Integrity Program are familiar with the unique stresses and pressures that can impact members of military families, and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of clinical services in an atmosphere of dignity and respect for all who are entrusted into our care.

The Integrity Program is open to male dependents. This page is focused on the care that is provided to male children, adolescent boys, and young adult men. To learn more about services for female dependents of military members or retirees, please click here.

The Benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy has proved to be an effective form of therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults who have been struggling with a variety of mental health disorders. The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, is to help individuals achieve their goals by changing their thoughts and behaviors.

CBT is a short-term therapeutic intervention that yields long-term results. While participating in CBT sessions, your son will explore the connection between his thoughts and his actions. With the guidance of an experienced professional, he will learn how negative thoughts can promote self-defeating behaviors, and will work to develop more positive thought patterns.

With CBT incorporated into his personalized treatment plan, your son will become empowered to take positive control over his thoughts and behaviors, which will help him to reconnect with his best self and achieve to his greatest potential.

Intensive Therapies & Evaluations

When your son heals at Lakeland Behavioral Health System, he will receive comprehensive residential care that is personalized according to his unique strengths, needs, and goals. Our ability to provide a truly personalized residential treatment experience is based upon the thorough assessment that he will complete prior to receiving care.

This assessment ensures that the members of your son’s treatment team have identified and are prepared to address all of the issues that have been preventing him from living a healthier and more satisfying life. Following the assessment, we will develop a personalized treatment plan for your son. This plan will likely involve a combination of individual, group, family, and experiential therapies, delivered in a manner that is best suited to his needs and goals.

The intensive nature of treatment in our residential program is designed to help your son experience immediate improvements while in our care, as well as to prepare him for continued success after he has returned home.

We will monitor your son’s progress and evaluate and adjust his personalized treatment plan as necessary throughout his time in our residential program. As he prepares to leave our program, we will provide you with a detailed discharge plan that documents the advances that he has made thus far and identifies the resources that will support his continued improvement.
