Intake offers a no cost, no obligation, confidential assessment by Master’s level clinicians and Registered Nurses who are skilled at identifying emotional and behavioral dysfunction and recommending appropriate intervention.

During the assessment, a variety of questions are asked concerning high risk and dangerous behavior, depressive symptoms, impulsivity, school functioning, medical problems and stressors that affect the child as well as the family unit.

Once the assessment has been completed, one of our psychiatrists will review the information gathered by the assessment specialist and make a recommendation to the guardian for further treatment. If inpatient hospitalization is recommended, a time for admission is arranged with the guardian.  If inpatient hospitalization is not recommended, other treatment options will be discussed with the family.

We recognize how difficult it can be to seek assistance, and believe that the experience with our Intake Department will provide the direction needed to develop a healthier and happier child.
